Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American broadcaster. She is employed by ESPN and works as a SportsCenter anchor for news. She began her career at ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. When she was just nine years old, her ability to communicate in two languages allowed her to get an employment in Miami as an assistant production at Univision. In this role she was given the chance to work with national producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was employed as a reporter by the CBS station as an sports reporter. She moved in 2009 into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become an investigative reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Covering stories on the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of the Texas-Mexico border, she was an anchor for newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor, reporter and later anchor for the 9 p.m. news in English as well as another reporter for the 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. Anchor duties for sports or weather were also frequently demanded. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's Dallas-affiliate station. In that station, she was given greater accountability. She wrote to the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason games, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. In addition, she hosted Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor. She became a sports host for the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. As a sports anchor she was employed by Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports channel). Antonietta's parents hail from Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. Her older sister is also hers. In 1992 her family left Mexico and moved to Miami. The couple divorced shortly after and her mother was remarried to an architect from the naval profession called Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. In June of 2006, she spent one week with her sibling in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked at the time. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school, however she knew the things she wanted to do. The result was that she was a fan of the campus, and the university had the program she desired. Following her graduation from high school, she made the decision to enroll at the university with a major in media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a member. Her professor urged her to believe in herself and was greatly moved by his love of journalism.
